Soooooo...

Started Effexor XR yesterday. Hopefully this will help some. Yesterday and today I felt a little dizzy/light-headed and really jittery. Hopefully it's a temporary side effect because it is driving me nuts. 3-4 weeks to work, so I will try not to judge before then. How will I know if I'm less crazy? Fingers crossed.

(Heather P) I had the same reaction to Wellbutrin (well, actually not exactly the same; I was so wired that I couldn't sleep more than 3 hrs a night). Paxil and Zoloft gave me constant headaches. Prozac is what ended up causing the fewest side effects for me. Hope the side effects go away or you find something else that treats you better.

I know it isnt easy to make that leap and so you should be really proud of yourself for taking control. Hopefully you will see an improvement and if not no harm done. Good Luck Mama!

My name is Judith Haven and i would like to show you my personal experience with Effexor.

I am 37 years old. Have been on Effexor for at least 1 years now. As soon as I was on the beginning dose I could feel releave from my anxiety. My family life is so much better. My kids notice it. They applaud my for taking the side affects for a better live with them. No explosive episode any more.

I have experienced some of these side effects-
Nightsweats, I have twitches if I forget a dose.

I hope this information will be useful to others,
Judith Haven
